presence of large group decreases guilt and inhibition
example: black friday shopping. the big groups make people go fucking crazy and trample people and steal and other shit because the shoppers feel that the crowd will conceal their identity so nobody will know it was them being an asshole
another example: the internet. people feel they can post whatever they want online that they typically couldnt because their identity is concealed
