situational attribution: situations can influence our behavior
deindividualization: easy for the "guards" to treat prisoners like shit if they suffer from deindividualization. More or less, the guards saw them all as like this cohesive group that was just adressed individually by numbers, so they didnt feel bad
cognitive dissonance: guards knew behavior was super shitty so they tried to overly justify behaviors as if the prisoners deserved what they were getting
internalization: participants internalized their roles and let it influence their attitudes, cognitions, and behaviors
