Aldosterone raises blood pressure, by sodium retention and potassium secretion at the distal collecting tubule.
ADH and Aldosterone both have the same purpose: to increase blood pressure, aka increase water reabsorption.
But their mechanisms as well as action sites vary:
→ ADH reabsorbs water through opening pores; it works at the last part of nephron, the collecting duct.
→ Aldosterone reabsorbs sodium & secretes potassium; it works at the second last part of the nephron, the distal collecting tubule.
Misleading, remember that liver produces angiotension.
